Aniline

Aniline leather is the closest you can get to the raw natural hide. Aniline leather is exclusive and soft while also being very comfortable. In order to keep the hide as close to the natural state there is no surface protection and therefore this leather type will be vulnerable to liquids, grease and stains.

Since there is no surface correction this hide will also have natural “defects” like small scars, insect bites etc. This is not a flaw in the material but shows the value of a natural and genuine material.

Aniline leather will overtime reflect how the furniture has been used and develop a beautiful patina.

Aniline Nubuck

Aniline nubuck is an aniline hide that has underwent a special tanning process to get its special and characteristic looks. Our aniline nubuck is lightly polished and topped with a special oil, creating the unique visual properties.

Due to this special treatment color variations may occur.

As this is an aniline leather this leather will be vulnerable to liquids, grease and stains.

This leather will overtime reflect how the furniture has been used and develop a beautiful patina.

Semi Aniline

Semi aniline leathers have unlike pure aniline hides been given a light surface treatment making it slightly more resistant to liquids, grease and stains. Therefor this type of hide will have fewer natural “defects” like small scars, insect bites etc. But will still retain comfortable properties and natural looks.

Corrected

Corrected leather has been given a thicker surface treatment making it more durable and practical in daily usage. The compromise of this treatment is the leather is no quite as soft and comfortable as aniline leather.

This type of leather will be more homogeneous in its appearance since the surface is corrected and the structure is imprinted artificially.
